This is a one-of-a-kind spoon that turned out with a surprising grain pattern that I could not have planned better. Born of a local black walnut tree, both the handle and bowl have grain from the trunk while the small transition in between has opposing grain from where a branch was. The design I chose for this one is a classic bowl shape and a large, chunky handle that adds to the feel in your hand, and the beauty of the spoon overall. A really special spoon.
