The shovel type bowl design, and overall design for this type of spoon is what I use every day. I find the size and shape of the bowl to be ideal for eating anything but soup, and honestly isn’t too bad at that either. I also backpack with this spoon type, and the flatter nose on the bowl works well for small scale cooking, or scraping the sides of a rehydrated dinner. While the general design of each “shovel type” spoons follows a similar pattern, each is unique and deserves a good look at the pictures to find what fits you best.
